Sid
19 May 2026

We are sad to announce the passing of Sidney (aka Yeshe).
Sid first got involved with Samye Dzong Glasgow in the 1980s, and was among the first residents of Holy Isle, arriving in 1992. He spent his many years of work in developing the gardens at the Centre for world Peace and Health, at the North End of Holy Isle. Sid was a vey cheerful person with a great sense of humour. He was very sociable with visitors to the Centre and enjoyed chatting away with old and new friends.
We are grateful that he lived a long life here on Holy Isle. We will all miss his presence, but we have many fond memories of him and he is in our prayers.
