Deepening Your Practice
Mindfulness practice deepening retreat with Mindfulness Scotland
10 September 2020 - 15 September 2020
Cost Information: Cost: £275 single room, £400 for two people sharing a twin, £160 dorm. Full board and lodging costs.
Course fee £200 (payable to Mindfulness Scotland on booking)
In this retreat, we will return to the foundation of our mindfulness practice, the Mindfulness Scotland Eight Week Course (containing the core practices of MBCT and MBSR).
Working through the elements of the course in sequence as practitioners will give us a chance to deepen our practice and refresh our teaching. We will explore how an experience of ‘Beginners Mind’ can be present in the most familiar of practices. Through teachings integrated with indoor and outdoor meditation, we will also make links with the four foundations of mindfulness taught by the Buddha: mindfulness of Body, Emotion, States of Mind and Thought.
This retreat is open primarily to those who have completed the Mindfulness Scotland Training programme or equivalent training. The retreat is particularly suited to people who are currently teaching or planning to teach eight-week programmes or integrating Mindfulness into their professional work.
This will enable us to build on learning from the 2019 retreat, and for those who were not able to attend last time to encounter these teachings in a fresh context. The main body of the retreat will be silent to allow us to settle in deeply to the practices, however there will be time to reconnect with each other by talking on the first and last days.
This retreat will enable Mindfulness Teachers to fulfill the CPD requirement to attend an annual mindfulness retreat.
The retreat will begin in the evening of the 10th September and departure will be after breakfast on the 15th.
